  1. The Georgie theatre in Athens, GA was gutted by fire. Bands like The B-52’s and R.E.M. got their start here. The “ouch” is just their way to say we’re hurt , but we’re going to stage a come back. I’m heading to Georgia for vacation next month. And I plan to stop in to Athens, GA to see where one of my favorite bands got their start. afraidofpop: I don’t know why I took a picture of this. I guess I thought it was funny. Taken in Athens, GA.
